Caneva comes from the Veneto word, that means “cellar”. A wine cellar was a must-have at that time, especially in the Veneto! The Caneva, like in our guesthouse, was located on the ground floor in the driest part of the house, a place suitable for protecting wine, cured meats and cheeses. A French window opens directly to the garden where you can find fresh aromatic herbs.

The stables were once annexed to royal lodgings, such as villas and palaces, and they were dedicated to the care of horses.

Today, these spaces are no longer used for their original purpose and have been turned into modern accommodations, such as at the Casa Massaro Todeschini where the stables are now the Scuderia, a ground floor apartment, overlooking the living area under the portico and the private garden with swimming pool.
